A brief music story which consists of many recordings with many artists. including several world tours and appearences on television and radio throughout the world. As a member of Spiritualized I arranged brass and played on the Dr John album “Anutha Zone” as well as recording with Spiritualized, the albums “Live at the Albert Hall, Let it Come Down” and “Amazing Grace”. As a member of the Too Pure Records band Moonshake, I recorded two critically acclaimed albums, although sales didn't reflect this......and played with both Stereolab and Cornershop as well as performing alongside PJ Harvey. With my own free jazz noise band Solar Fire Trio we have released 3 acclaimed albums, with again - not many sales.... HA Ha.. ! I have also recorded and performed with, amongst others: Moose, Lush, Durutti Column, AMP, The Duke Spirit, Six by Seven, Damo Suzuki, Slipstream, Thighpaulsandra, Soulsavers (Mark Lanegan), Suicide, Sonic Youth, Super Numeri, John Moores Revolution 9 and Michael J Sheehey, as well as performing with improvisers Jandek, Philip Marks, Chris Corsano, Brigitte Kuepper, John Butcher, Lol Coxhill, Carlos Zingaro, John Edwards, Martin Kuchen, Jeffery Morgan, Evan Parker, Fred Frith, Paal Nilssen-Love, Satoko Fujii, Agusti Fernandez, Tim Daisy, Peter Brotzmann and many more. I am the founder / director and principal conductor of both the Warsaw Improvisers Orchestra and the Sound in Space Orchestra. I have developed a set of conduction signs and symbols (still ongoing) that I use in the process of Instant Music Composing with the Large Scale Improvising Ensembles. For the Theatre, I compose and perform music, create installation pieces, and conduct musicians and choir during live shows. I have also completed several soundtracks for documentary films and animations as well as podcasts. Light Star Guiding A quartet of Drums, Bass / Keys, Electric Guitar and Sax. A trance - time suspending - electric group. Casting Lots A quartet of Cello, Percussion Sax and Vocals. Somewhere between Icelandic folk and the avant garde. Warsaw Improvisers Orchestra Large scale project which I conduct and direct. Live album from 2015 available to purchase. Studio recording, from 2017 available. Sound in Space Orchestra A group which emerged out of my Improvising workshops. This group is specifically for non-musicians (Although not exclusively) playing non traditional instruments - various objects and electronics are used. The concept follows the idea of "small sounds made loud" Infant Joy Quintet A 5 piece band exploring the legacy of Albert Ayler. First release "New Ghosts" released on For Tune Records 2014. Noise of Wings A composition based band, for which I am uncovering and working on songs old and new; recording of first album "Frozen Songs" is complete and available via Bandcamp. Miscellaneous I run workshops in the UK and Europe on Improvising music from small to large ensembles. I am also a session player for rock bands, and engineer and producer.
